​Wellesley Tax professionals are Enrolled Agents, who are federally authorized tax professionals empowered by the United States Department of the Treasury. Our tax professionals are all career IRS managers, agents, revenue officers and investigators who are ready to help you with, complicated tax problems such as Audits, Collection, Investigations, including Threatened Seizures, Wage Garnishments, Liens and other IRS and State Revenue Department issues. Our tax consultants have combined IRS experience and knowledge years over 70 years. Their experience and training are key in maneuvering through the bureaucracy and tax laws in protecting taxpayer rights and in expediting the best conclusion for the taxpayer; often times saving the clients thousands of dollars in taxes, penalties and interest.

The tax laws are cumbersome, lengthy, complicated and arduous. In addition, the IRS is a complex organization composed of 87,000 employees working in call centers and field offices throughout the United States, a complicated system for the average person. Navigating the system and understanding the tax laws is difficult if not impossible without IRS technical experience. ​​

​Tim is a Certified Fraud Examiner and an Enrolled Agent EA). After receiving his degree from the University of Nevada, he spent 30 years with the Internal Revenue Service as an agent, manager and executive focusing on complex tax fraud and other forms financial investigations. His successes eventually resulted in his appointments to top level positions as Chief, Criminal Investigation Division, in four states:  Alaska, Hawaii, North Carolina and South Carolina.  In 1982 he was appointed national Director of Investigations in Washington, D.C., with nation-wide Criminal Investigation program responsibilities.   After completing the IRS Executive Selection and Development Program in 1985, he served in several executive positions including IRS District Director of North Dakota and Assistant Regional Commissioner (Criminal Investigation).  Mr. Wellesley received numerous awards for excellence during his career including the National Leadership Award in 1993 from the National Association of Treasury Agents. 
 
Upon his IRS retirement in 1994, he became a Tax Administration Expert serving as an advisor on a number of USAID, UN and World Bank funded projects.  He designed and provided tax and financial enforcement training to officials from Jamaica, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Moldova, Serbia, Macedonia, Montenegro, the Republic of Georgia, Egypt, Jordan and Indonesia.

​KATHERINE S. WELLESLEY, EA

Katherine is an Enrolled Agent (EA), a federally authorized tax practitioner empowered by the U.S. Department of the Treasury to represent taxpayers before the Internal Revenue Service.  Upon graduating from New Mexico State University, Katherine served thirty years with the Internal Revenue Service serving as a: Revenue Officer working complex collection cases, Bankruptcy Advisor producing bankruptcy plans, and Supervisory Collection Manager with oversight of the collection activities of Revenue Officers with combined inventories often exceeding 400 civil investigations.  As a Revenue Officer she served in Arizona, North Dakota, Minnesota, Texas, and Nevada.  As a manager, she supervised Collection activities spanning large geographical territories including Western Minnesota, Northern Nevada, Texas and Arizona.
